Warren, OH – Raymond King Henry, 95, passed away June 24, 2018 peacefully with his wife by his side at their home. He was born August 18, 1922, in Warren, Ohio, the son of the late Frank L. and Nellie Mae (King) Henry.
Raymond was a WWII veteran who proudly served in the US Navy from 1942-1946 where he earned the rank of M.M.1st Class V6 USNR. Upon his return from the service Raymond began his work life with the Packard Electric company and retired in 1983 after 43 years of service. As one of the oldest members of the Central Christian Church of Warren where he was a Deacon Emeritus he dedicated much of his faith and time to helping others. Raymond was a Mason at the Carroll F. Clapp Lodge #655 F&AM and the Royal Arcanum Fraternity. He enjoyed following and attending Cleveland Indian baseball games or playing a round of golf or going bowling.
He will be remembered for living a life dedicated to his family, friends and neighbors and will be missed by many of those lives he touched.
Surviving is his wife Geraldine “Jerry” of 70 years, two sons: Bruce (Nancy) and Donald (Nannette) Henry of Warren; six grandchildren: Heather Smith of Champion, Stacy (Dean) Ziska of Champion, Trisha (Michael) Mauro of Champion, Emily (Jonathan) Woodford of West Farmington, Sarah (Mark) Amaismeier of Boardman, and Laura Henry of Youngstown; twelve great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his two sisters; Vera Pentz and Dorothy Botts.
Cremation has taken place and there will be no services at this time. However, the family would encourage those who wish to send their condolences to do so.
